On Thursday we are going to celebrate Saint George´s Day. This day is special for us because it’s our Saint Valentine’s Day. But who was Saint George? What happened on the 23^rd of April and how do we celebrate it?

St. George was born in Cappadocia , he was Christian like his parents, and he lived during the time when the Cristians were being persecuted.

The legend says that many centuries ago in a small village there was a dragon, and one day the dragon wanted to eat the princess, and when the dragon wanted to eat the princess, Saint George appeared with his white horse and with his spear, killed the dragon and in the dragon blood appeared a rose that Saint George gave as a present to the princess.

On the 23^rd of April the boys give roses to their girls, and the girls give the boys a book to read, because the 23^rd of April is the day of the book.

Dutch people

Two weeks ago a group of Dutch students came to our school to do an exchange with 30 students here in the school.
It was hella cool, and these 30 students now have another expierence to tell to their classmates
Every Dutch student stayed in the house of his/her Catalan partner during a whole week.
During that week the Dutch students went sightseeing and came to our classes.
In P.E. some students played basketball while others played table tennis, but they couldn’t choose what to do because the teacher had already made the groups.
In Art they made some bookmarks with Modernist details.
They did some activities with the Catalan students, too.They went to Monserrat and Parc Gaudí.
Last day the Catalan students prepared a party for the Dutch students

So today is an important day for the students of 3rd of ESO A and B, They're very excited, they can't restrain their nervousness. So, they are on their way, they're coming here, they're are from Breda, Holland. 11.55, in 1 hour they will be here, and we are full of excitement, just stay here and read this article, it won´t deceive you!!

Oriol, English teacher of 3A and b of English, and Maths in english, organised an exchange with students from Holland to practice our english skills, and develop it in a TRUE English context. Real life, hard and truE, that's what we are going to experiment with!

Tears and smiles, they will be friends for a week.
Turn and return. They will leave us and then see them again. They come to Barcelona, and then to Holland we go.

Television kills, says German professor

Last night in the German television, Eduardo Caustro, a German professor of Biology from Oxford University said: “Television is bad and doesn’t let the audience think”. He added that if in the future we don’t stop watching it, we’ll all become more stupid, so definitely television kills our brain cells.

He was absolutely furious with the entire human race, in fact he was angry with the foolishness of people around the world.

The power of these words have had consequences, and the politicians of some countries have complained about his attitude on TV.

And this morning Josep Kraunchfen his uncle found him dead.

He committed suicide but before he died he wrote a note:

I´m killing myself because this world sucks.

Project 4 (good and bad things of a blog)

Good things:

• It's free.
• It's a place to express our ideas.
• It's easy to use.
• It can be a work place.
• The teacher can put homework on the blog.
• We can talk about the things we like.
• You can know more things about all.

Bad things:

• You can watch inapropiate things.
• You can do bullying to other people through the blog.
• The teacher can put homework in the blog.
• If you don't have Internet you can't enter in it.
• You can talk about wathever you want.

1) Define your goals:

It means that we need to define what type of blog we'll be, also we have to say what we're going to upload there.

2) Know your audience:

This means that our blog has to be created by a particular audience.

3) Be consistent

Always we have to upload the things we said at the beggining of the blog, and not to change the

We need update things frequently to our blog to like to the audience.
5) Be inviting
In your blog there has to be comments and disscusions for the new readers that comesat firts time.
6) Be visible
Our blog will be visible and the people will visit it, and they put the comments.
7) Take risks

You need to take risks to do new things to like more your audience.
8) Ask for help
Don't be afraid to ask other bloggers for help, because your problems are my problems.
9) Keep learning
Is important to keep learning from the others for improving your blog and increase your knowledge.
10) Be yourself
If you create a blog, it's important to explain things about your and your life.
